(Brazilian Association of Tourism Journalists), because of his 12 years
of activities.
Since 1994, untill february 2000, Carlos Roquette, a lawyer, worked as
a MAGISTRATE in the Federal Area of the Justice in Rio.
In
the last eighteen years, so, Carlos Roquette has built a SOPHISTICATED
AND SINGULAR READING OF OUR CULTURAL HERITAGE, with a simplicity that
permits its understanding even by the non-specialized public. The importance
of his pioneering work reflects the importance of the city that inspired
it : "Ouro Preto tells us about the Colony, Petrópolis the Empire,
Brasília the Twenty Century, but only Rio can tells us all the
History and Art of Brazil". This "telling", trough the buildings and monuments
of the city, is the "soul" of Cultural Rio.
